AAP Diversity Statement

The American Academy of Pediatrics recognizes that it serves a broad and diverse constituency comprised of individuals from many different backgrounds. The Academy respects and values diversity among its constituency and employees. We recognize that the variety of skills, characteristics, and backgrounds offered by a diverse work force contributes to the strength and success of our organization.

It is the objective of the Academy that each employee shall be treated with respect and dignity, and provided equal opportunity, regardless of race, national origin, gender, religion, disability, military status, age, parental status, marital/domestic partner status, sexual orientation, physical attributes, or association with any person identified by any of these groups.

It is also the objective of the Academy that the same dignity and respect be extended to the members, suppliers, customers, applicants and other constituents of the Academy. We appreciate the unique contributions that each employee and each constituent has to offer. Accordingly, we are committed to foster an environment that embraces and celebrates diversity.
