Advocating for Children Advancing Pediatrics

Philanthropy has been defined as a voluntary action for the common good, an action that includes voluntary giving, voluntary service, and voluntary association. Two primary forces that are usually present in this effort “to do good” are compassion and community, a concern with civic improvement and social change.

No matter what the cause might be, the reason for giving is almost always based on the fact that you have been asked to give and, in return, there is the desire to make a contribution — a feeling that you can make a difference. As a not-for-profit organization, the American Academy of Pediatrics looks to its members and friends to provide that “extra measure” of support to advance it’s mission.

For those who are committed to the AAP through voluntary service, voluntary association and voluntary giving, please accept our deepest gratitude. For those who have not yet supported the AAP, we hope that you will look at the options we have available to make a difference in children’s lives through a philanthropic contribution to AAP. Your gift WILL make a difference!
